Today I got my first harvest from the peppers I planted a few weeks ago! I didn’t realize they were ready but I went to the farmers market and asked the people I bought the starters from for advice, since they seemed like they would be ready soon.

The growth stage they described to me was exactly how my plants were, so I rushed home to harvest them. Here they are:

I don’t know what I’m going to do with them yet, I want to pickle them but I don’t have enough to do that yet, and I’m eager to see how they taste.

The other peppers I planted are doing great, too! Here’s the current garden. You can see on the sides the absolutely huge tomato plants that have been flourishing during this heat wave. We should be getting our first tomatoes soon - maybe in a week or so!

I also finally finished buying my car this week. (2027 Chevy Bolt)

I wouldn’t recommend buying a new car to anyone, really. I don’t understand why it’s not more fun and is instead incredibly stressful (buying a house is the same way only with 10x more money!) I only bought a new one because I wanted an EV, and the EVs on the used market here were either Teslas, too expensive or didn’t have DC fast charging.

Regardless, I like the car. I’m happy to own an EV. I hope it lasts as long as I want it to (which is forever.)
